Thank you Lynne. I've been a little side tracked the last two weeks so I've not done anything in the sketchbook. Must get back to it though. I was thinking about it today, but no idea popped into my head that got me reaching for the pencils or papers.

Hi Ruth,
I've only visited your site once before but was looking at results on Sketchbook Project 2012 and arrived here again. I think your quilt is quite brilliant. I just love the use of quotations in works of art and your use of Notan is a wonderful technique here. Also, your explanation led me to look at Ken Done's lovely work for the first time. I like his bright child-like images--reminds me of some of my favourite UK artists. And the quote is wonderful too! I'm very interested in quilting and fibre art and have tons of fabric but very little time. So that makes me a "lapsed" quilter/sewer I guess. Like you I'm working on a sketchbook (in which I plan to use quotations). I really liked what you've shown so far and will be looking forward to viewing your finished book. Good luck!
All the best,
Lynne

I agree! We set the blog up quickly in a cafe and didn't go in and fiddle with settings never thinking that the default settings would prevent people commenting freely. Whats the point in that?! Anyway, as Ruth says, its all sorted so you can all pop over and listen in too.

Hi Beth,

I thought about doing Stitches & Folds but then decided I should stretch myself a bit. That theme is too close to my comfort zone :-)

Hi Ruth, I follow your blog. Just wanted to say thanks for this post, as I really want to take part in the sketchbook project with 'Stitches & Folds' now. :) It's the perfect little project for me to have a play with over the rest of the year and I haven't really made up a sketchbook since I was a student.
