Although they aren’t diamonds this bit of mini patchwork immediately brings the bavarian flag to mind. This is one of the first bits of fabric for my vase.

We are supposed to estimate the costs for the object. The material cost are quite low for my vase but the production costs are going to be astronomical in comparison. I don’t think I’d stand much chance of selling it for anywhere near a price that would mean I could retire and live off the fruits of my creativity.

My white blue flag:

I usually use coloured thread to sew down the edges, but I didn’t want the stitching to feature this time, so I use monofilament instead.
