Yesterday I attached the binding to my quilt so it’s all done now. Here it is:

It’s called “Blue and green should never be seen”. Why that name? Because I chose early on to use those two colours and when I was thinking about the design, this old adage of my Mum’s just popped into my head. As the quilt was to be about myself, and my family were part of the design, it seemed a good name for it. My Mum always said that you shouldn’t use blue together with green – so I’ve just proven her wrong
I chose to use the log cabin blocks because home is where the heart is. And my heart is with my family.
Here is a detail of the figures that represent my sister’s family. Her children won’t thank me as they are adults now and not kids as you may think from the quilt.

Hi Ruth,
I very much like the Haring style. This instantly
reminded me to buy me a Haring calendar again, but
unfortunately it’s too late now for this year.
And too early for next year I guess.
PS:
“Grün und Blau, schmückt die Sau” should be the same in
German, as my sisters always said.
